It is a manufacturing management process that analyzes and plans logistics and manufacturing resources during short, intermediate, and long-term periods. APS software uses advanced math and heuristics to perform simulations and optimizations for such things as finite capacity scheduling, demand planning, sales and operations planning, logistics resource planning, etc. The process considers constraints and business objectives to provide decision support and recommended solutions.
