Supply chain plays an important role in demand planning, without it, demand cannot be managed. In fact, in a large number of companies, the forecasting function resides within the supply chain. According to IBF's recent research, in 52% of companies, the forecasting function resides in Supply Chain. In the last decade or so, a number of schools have started offering supply chain programs at both undergraduate and graduate levels. There is great demand for these graduates. Their job placement is nearly 100 percent, according to Dr. Rosa Oppenheim, Professor and Interim Chair in the Department of Supply Chain Management at Rutgers University. To attract and retain these professionals, businesses want to know what salaries other companies are offering. This study benchmarks the salaries of Supply Chain Planning professionals.
